About Dr. Bell
I am a strong believer in preventative medicine, and promote healthy lifestyle change before starting medications. I am also open to and accepting of my patients using alternative/complementary medicine such as naturopaths, acupuncturists, traditional chinese medicine, osteopaths, chiropractor, massage therapy, etc.
I’m part of a Family Health Team, which offers my patients benefits above a solo practitioner. We have a dietician, counsellor and pharmacist who work in our office with us. These services are free of charge.
We also have all sorts of different workshops and support groups available. An example of a program we have is the GetFit program which is a program for people at risk of diabetes to learn about diet and exercise with the help of a nurse, kinesiologist and dietician. Most of these programs are also for the most part free of charge.
Our Family Health Team also has an after hours clinic that is open seven days a week. Mon-Fri from 6-8 and weekend and all holidays from noon to 2pm. I also have same day urgent appointments that I leave open until the day of for those urgent types of appointments like strep throat or UTIs, etc.
